Call for Artist Submissions
We invite artists to submit proposals for the Fluid Festival and containR.
Digital Submissions are due Friday March 21, 2014.
The Fluid Festival will take place October 13 - 26, 2014.
containR will take place May 1 - October 31, 2014.
Fluid Festival
Programming options include:
- Main Stage Mixed bill programming 20-30 minute works for mixed bill programming
- Cabarets, 5-7 minute performance works, designed for a small stage and the specific bar context
- Performer interest in working on a new commissioned work for the Fluid Festival which brings together local performers to work with Tentacle Tribe (Quebec) | 1-2 weeks of paid daily work with company artists, and performance opportunity at the Fluid Festival. Tentacle Tribe specializes in a distinct urban/contemporary aesthetic.
containR
- Call for site specific and durational works to take place in and around the
containR in Sunnyside complex. - Call for site specific events that integrate more than one containR venue and the outdoor courtyard.
- Call for artist submissions to work with local community members | the focus is community process, deep exchange, learning and dialogue, with shows or exhibits being secondary in importance
- Reduced Rate Rental Options for self produced events
Submissions should include bio, project description, and video support.
