Juan Carlos Lérida
The research that he has been developing in the field of experimental dissemination of flamenco could be placed halfway between training and artistic curatorship. He presents himself as a flamenco empirico artist, whose foundations and identity go deep into the investigation of flamenco, the body and improvisation, leading him to develop his latest artistic and pedagogical trilogy of the bodies of flamenco: Al Toque (2011), Al Cante (2014) and Al Baile (2016).
He devotes his time to research, stage direction and choreography, without neglecting his work as a teacher and artistic curator throughout Europe.
He is currently preparing the 12-hour durational work La liturgia de las horas (The liturgy of the hours), a work that approaches the flamenco in everyday life (trades, rituals...).
