Your donations help us to continue developing Calgarian dance and live performance, build national creative connections, and to present and produce on national and international scales. With you, we’re able to build and develop Calgary’s creative capital as one of the arts centers of Canada.

Springboard is one of Calgary’s leading presenters and producers of dance and contemporary performance. At the core of our vision is a focus on creating space that supports the making and experiencing of live performance.  We are a condition-maker whose leadership and sensibility opens up space for creation and helps artists make their work possible, while connecting audiences to the awe-inspiring possibility of live performance. Our artistic events, educational activities, and community engagement initiatives would not be possible without the ongoing support and participation of artists, audiences, and art patrons like you. 

Springboard believes everyone should have access to contemporary performance. We strive to keep ticket prices low and the quality of exchange and performance exceptionally vibrant. Your investment and involvement allow Springboard to present bold, new work by artists representing a broad range of identities and perspectives which might not otherwise be seen in Calgary, and to connect audiences to exciting ideas, experiences, and expressions. From performances to workshops, residencies to lectures, festivals to neighbourhood events, our programs catalyze conversations about contemporary culture. We create open spaces for a convergence of performance and creative ideas. Springboard supports the presentation and development of live performance from artists at all levels of development, from around the world and around the block. Presentations ensure that we are touched by the potential of art and artists, and that artists can create work reflecting us and our experiences. Emerging artist mentorships help to ensure that young innovators not only make Calgary their home, but their community. And thanks to your support, Springboard is able to commit to ensuring that every arts-curious Calgarian can be a part of a creative community. Continuing to develop programs like our Pay-It-Forward ticketing initiative and supporting the sharing of dance and live performance in venues across the city ensure that the arts are accessible, and that they tell stories as richly diverse as the city itself.
