“Not only is her compelling stage presence undiminished, but Lecavalier is still in possession of a formidable technique, and has the energy level of a five-year-old on a sugar rush”

—The Scotsman

Dark, witty, very physical: Like a big, grown-up child. The Montreal-based artist brings to Calgary two electrifying pieces including Children, choreographed by Nigel Charnock (Frank, Fever) the unrepentant enfant terrible of British physical theatre (DV8) and danced by Louise Lecavalier and Patrick Lamothe. Children exposes the heaven and hell of a relationship at the breaking point.

Bittersweet and sweaty duets from an icon of Canadian dance. A Few Minutes of Lock revisits three astonishing duets from Louise Lecavalier’s final years with Edouard Lock's seminal company La La La Human Steps. Performed by Louise Lecavalier and Keir Knight, the work brings to life the extreme, incandescent style of dance that she so indelibly personified over the years. With her new company, Fou Glorieux, Louise Lecavalier continues her exploration of the impulse of movement through her very physical dances style. Absolutely a must-see for dance fans.
