JAMES WATSON

James Watson is a performing violinist, composer, and teacher from Kamloops British Columbia who has been practicing the violin since the age of 7. Having completed his Bachelor of Music (minor in linguistics) in April of 2021, James has been off to a good start in pursuing music as a career. With two residencies under his belt already as well as numerous recording projects. James’ versatile performance experience continues to develop as he presents Classical, Celtic/Folk, and Jazz music on stage both as a soloist and collaboratively, and most recently as a founding member of a newly established String Orchestra.

KAILI CHE

Born in Vancouver and raised in Calgary, Kaili Che (she/her) is an emerging Chinese-Canadian dance artist and educator. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with Distinction and an added concentration in Dance Pedagogy from the University of Calgary. As a performer she has participated in works of artists and companies including: Cloudsway Dance Theatre, kloetzel&co, Project InTandem, Ivanochko et cie, and W&M Physical Theatre, among others. Her curiosity in the physiological and psychological well being of dancers has led her to completing the Healthy Dancer Certification with SiDI. Kaili is an advocate for education and she believes that teaching “through dance, about dance and in dance” with compassion will bring laughter and joy to everyday life."
