Warning: DO NOT MICROWAVE is a music-movement-mask collaboration between Kyle Hinton and Jocelyn Mah, composed of several short scenes. Kyle and Jocelyn like to think and play outside the box - or microwave.

Kyle Hinton is multi-disciplined artist who is devoted to computer programming, sound and puppetry. Jocelyn Mah is a trained contemporary dancer, whose artistic practice is tied to music. Together, they merge their practices to create lively, absurd original work.

JOCELYN MAH

Hailing from Calgary, Canada, Jocelyn Mah is a graduate of The School of Toronto Dance Theatre (Canada), and holds her Master of Arts in Contemporary Dance from The London Contemporary Dance School (London, UK). Jocelyn has performed for numerous independent artists and companies in Canada and the UK. An award-winning choreographer, her lively musically-based choreography often features elements of vernacular jazz.

KYLE HINTON

Kyle Hinton's movement practice is informed by Viewpoints and improvisation and past education at the University of Alberta. Kyle is experienced in site-specific work and collaboration with youth. He typically creates work as a puppeteer and sound designer, and it's been a minute since he's performed movement.
