In pieces

Date: Friday, October 29th, 2021
Location The GRAND & Livestream (map)
Duration: 22 minutes

Seemingly stable, structured sometimes. Stands and holds and is held, but not easily. We find ourselves in states of recalibration, again and again.

“In pieces” is a collage of collected physical memories from the past two years; the weight of it all, all of my weight… precarious as it is

Special thank you to Gerry Morita and Mile Zero Dance for seeding and presenting the first iteration of this work, The Railpath Arts Centre, Julian Anderson-Bowes for his patience and unwavering support, Nicole Mion and Fluid Festival for supporting the continual development of this work, and to all the artists that have filled me up and informed the synthesis of who I am today.

Choreographer and performer: Katherine Semchuk
Composer and performer: Julian Anderson-Bowes
